Accidents Can Happen

 

If you're travelling to an unfamiliar area, or if you are visiting this country for the first time, then you'll want to feel safe in the knowledge that you're covered for unforeseen events.

 

At Coastline Car Hire we pride ourselves on our customer service and commitment to quality, this commitment ensures that when you rent a car from Coastline it is both straightforward and easy.

But sometimes accidents can happen and adequate insurance cover is important. Not only does Coastline provide compulsory Third Party Insurance for all hires, We also cover you with an All Risk Policy, but with an insurance first excess of €600.00, (approx £ 400 Sterling). This means that in the event of an accident claim being made, by us on your behalf, you are subject to pay the first excess.

However, for complete peace of mind Coastline offers the following. Liability in respect of this first excess can be reduced from €600.00. to zero by purchasing Full Collision Damage Waiver or C.D.W. at the point of hire. This Damage Waiver Covers you in respect of accidental damage caused to the rented vehicle up to its full value and includes the cost of repairs or replacement, loss of use by the company and administration charges. Extra to the cost of your daily rental, which you may have prepaid, this extra cover is available including taxes for €6.00. per day, (Approx £4 Sterling). This extra cost is €12.00 for the Minibus rental.

No Claim Bonus

If you are a Regular Client, there is no need to continually purchase C.D.W. because Coastline recognise and thank you for your continued loyalty, enabling us to extend to you, our Regular Clients No Claim Bonus scheme. You simply purchase once, C.D.W. for the duration of your stay. If we do not make a claim on your behalf, your C.D.W. is valid for your next rental of the same duration. If we make a claim on your behalf, you then need to purchase C.D.W. on your next visit to re-establish your No Claims Bonus entitlement. Age limitations apply.

Insurance exclusions

Damage to wheels and tyres cannot be included, nor can damage to interior fittings Caused by neglect. All damage no matter how minor must be reported within 12 hours of occurrence. Driving while under the influence of drink or drugs negates all insurance cover and In the event of an accident could render the driver liable for the total cost of repair. Towing fees due to accidents are also excluded and are at the Clients expense.
